ITI stands for Industrial Training Institute. It is a vocational training institute in India that provides technical education in various trades. Here’s a more detailed overview:

Establishment: ITI is a career stream started by the Government of India under the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). They mostly provides a skill persons to industries.

ITI Courses Offered: ITIs offer various vocational courses in different trades and stream such as mechanic ,electrician, fitter, welder, plumber, , computer operator, etc. These trades are in demand in various industries from Manufacturing industry to IT industry’s.

Duration: course duration is depends on the trade i.e. which trade one can pursue
It typically ranging from 6 months to 2 years.

Admission: Admission Into the ITI is usually depends on 10th merit persentages or through entrance exams taken by the respective states.

Curriculum: The curriculum is design in a such a way that student can take a hand on experience in their respective trade ,It includes classroom theoretical sessions, workshops for practical knowledge ,and on-the-job training to ensure that students are equipped with the required skills for employments and jobs.

Certification: After successfully completion of the course, students are awarded with a certificate provided by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT), which works under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) of India.

Future Job Opportunities: ITI holding students are highly demand in various industries due to their specialized skills. They can find employment as mechanics, operators, technicians, etc. ITI graduates also choose to become self-employed by starting their own businesses. They can also take chance to take employment in government sectors like Electrical ,Railway Department ,research fields etc.

Further Education: ITI Holder’s also have a option to take admission for further education such as diploma courses in engineering through ITI percentile. They can take direct second year admission in various diploma curses. In Government institute there are limited seats for ITI Holders.
